Every year, deep inside a lush green jungle, animals gathered with great excitement to celebrate World Jungle Day. It wasnât just a normal dayâit was the most awaited festival of the year.
The jungle turned into a magical fair. There were colorful stalls, delicious food, fun rides, and joyful laughter everywhere. Animals from every corner of the jungle came together to enjoy, celebrate, and make memories.
Among all the stalls, one shop always stood outâBallu the Bearâs sweet shop.
Ballu was not just rich, but also kind-hearted and hardworking. His shop was always crowded because of his mouth-watering honey cakes and jaggery candies.
âStep right up! Taste the sweetest treats in the jungle!â Ballu called out cheerfully.
And truly, animals couldnât resist his sweets.
Not everyone was happy though.
Two mischievous monkeys, Jolly and Dolly, were watching everything from a distance.
âLook at Ballu,â Jolly whispered. âHeâs earning so much money!â
Dolly frowned, âYeah⊠and we have nothing. Itâs not fair.â
Instead of thinking about working hard, they chose the wrong path.
âLetâs steal his money tonight,â Jolly said with a sly grin.
And just like that⊠a bad plan was born.
Late at night, when the fair was silent, Jolly and Dolly quietly sneaked toward Balluâs shop.
Inside, they spotted a big sack filled with money.
âJackpot!â Jolly whispered excitedly.
But just as they stepped inâŠ
A deep, terrifying growl echoed in the darkness.
âWhoâs there?â
It was Cheetu the Tiger, the jungleâs security guard.
Before they could escape, Cheetu leaped forward and blocked their path.
âTrying to steal, huh?â he growled.
The monkeys froze. Their plan had failed.
Cheetu took them straight to King Leo the Lion, the ruler of the jungle.
âYour Majesty,â Cheetu said, âI caught them stealing from Balluâs shop.â
King Leo looked disappointed.
âWhy would you do this?â he asked sternly.
Jolly lowered his head. âWe were jealous⊠we thought it wasnât fair.â
King Leo sighed.
âJealousy makes us forget whatâs right. Instead of stealing, you should have worked hard like Ballu.â
Just then, Ballu himself arrived.
To everyoneâs surprise, he said kindly,
âYour Majesty, they made a mistake⊠but they deserve a second chance. Let them work with me. Iâll teach them honesty and hard work.â
The monkeys were shockedâand grateful.
âThank you, Ballu! We promise to change,â they said.
King Leo smiled, âLet this be a lessonâsuccess comes from honesty, not shortcuts.â
From that day on, Jolly and Dolly started working at Balluâs shop.
They learned how to make sweets, serve customers, and most importantlyâearn honestly.
And guess what?
At the next Jungle FairâŠ
They had their own stall!
âCome try our delicious snacks!â they called out proudly.
This time, their happiness was realâbecause it was earned.
